By using Saskatoon Groundwater Risk (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
What this site is
The Site publishes neighbourhood-level estimates of groundwater and sump-pump risk for Saskatoon, derived from aggregated public datasets. Risk index scores are estimates, not true measured values for any specific property. They combine the best available public data (water-well records, regional soil maps, City planning figures) into a weighted index near each neighbourhood centroid. Groundwater and soil conditions vary lot by lot. This tool is not a substitute for a professional home or geotechnical inspection.
What this site is not

- This site is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by the City of Saskatoon, the Water Security Agency, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, or any other government agency. Public data are cited as sources only.
- Not a substitute for licensed home, geotechnical, or legal professionals
No warranty
The Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Public source data may contain errors, gaps, or outdated information. We do not guarantee that scores reflect conditions at any specific property.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Saskatoon Groundwater Risk and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of — or reliance on — the Site, including but not limited to property damage, repair costs, lost profits, or purchase or sale decisions. You use the Site at your own risk.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for verifying information against original source documents and for obtaining professional advice before buying, selling, renovating, or insuring property. Do not treat a neighbourhood risk score as a go/no-go decision for a specific home.
Commercial and professional use
Realtors, insurers, inspectors, and other professionals may reference the Site only as supplementary public information. You may not represent Site content as your own professional opinion, an official government assessment, or a property-specific report. If you share reports with clients, include the full disclaimer and a link to the methodology.
